Salt flower is formed on the surface of the brine from salt crystals, which form a characteristic downward-facing pyramidal structure in the form of a thin, brittle crust. It is white to slightly pink in colour. The taste is not sharp salty, but more rich, rounded and very pleasant. Salt flower harmoniously complements the taste of the dish and is most pronounced when salted on a plate, with dishes like salads, seafood and meat specialties.
